1991 Oldsmobile Toronado Spare Tire
The Oldsmobile Toronado was a pioneering vehicle in many ways, but one of its unique features was the location and design of its spare tire. Unlike most vehicles where the spare tire is stowed away in the trunk or underneath the back-end, the Toronado's spare was situated horizontally in a dedicated cavity in the front, directly in line with the radiator fan to save space in the trunk amidst its front-wheel-drive layout. It was known as a 'space-saver' spare tire, a compact, inflatable design that, while smaller and narrower than the regular tires, is sufficient to serve the purpose of a temporary replacement in case of a flat tire. The standard size for a Toronado spare tire can be P215/75R15 which can be replaced by the compact tire size T125/70D15 for emergencies.
1991 Oldsmobile Toronado comes with 3 OEM tire size options. Select the original equipment the tire size installed on your vehicle to see all spare tires that have roughly the same tire diameter and can be used as a temporary replacement in the event of a flat tire. Remember that load carrying capacity of the spare tire must be the same or higher than the load carrying capacity of the original equipment tires in order to safely support the weight of your vehicle.
