2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV Spare Tire
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV does not come with a traditional spare tire which is a common feature in many electric and hybrid cars due to considerations such as saving weight, increasing fuel efficiency and maximizing available space for batteries. Instead, the i-MiEV is equipped with a tire repair kit, including tire sealant and inflator kit that can temporarily fix minor punctures or damage. It is ideal for emergency use on the road until professional repair can be sought. However, the vehicle can accommodate a full-size or donut spare tire, with the common size being 145/65R15 for the front tires and 175/55R15 for the rear ones. As the sizes indicate, the tires are thinner compared to traditional car tires, intended to reduce rolling resistance and to boost efficiency, vital features for an electric vehicle.
2014 Mitsubishi i-MiEV comes with 1 OEM tire size option. Select the original equipment the tire size installed on your vehicle to see all spare tires that have roughly the same tire diameter and can be used as a temporary replacement in the event of a flat tire. Remember that load carrying capacity of the spare tire must be the same or higher than the load carrying capacity of the original equipment tires in order to safely support the weight of your vehicle.
