2021 Porsche 718 Spyder Spare Tire
The Porsche 718 Spyder, unlike many sports cars, does not come with a standard spare tire due to its design which emphasizes weight reduction and performance. Instead of a traditional spare tire, Porsche equips the 718 Spyder with a Tire Repair Kit (consisting of a sealant and an electric compressor) to temporarily address tire punctures and enable the driver to reach a nearby service station for a tire replacement or repair. This is to maintain optimal vehicle balance and to conserve space in the vehicle. If an owner wants to keep a spare tire, a suitable match would be 235/40ZR20 for the front and 265/35ZR20 for the rear. However, storing this tire would take up considerable space, prone to be an inconvenience due to the Spyder's limited storage capacity.
